Nadia Caterina Munno is serving up her literary tastes!
The Pasta Queen star teamed up with Reese’s Book Club to share some of her audiobook recommendations — and which pasta dish they remind her of — as part of the club’s Lit Check series.
In collaboration with Apple Books, the book club’s official audiobook home, Lit Check selections “meet the Reese’s Book Club brand ethos of where women’s stories shine to provide more book recommendations to the community,” per a statement previously shared with PEOPLE.
The first of Munno’s picks was Year of Yes, a memoir from acclaimed producer and screenwriter Shonda Rhimes.
“What I really loved about this is the power of breaking through your fears and saying yes,” Munno says of the non-fiction read. “This book is cozy, it’s powerful, just like a gorgeous bolognese.”

Munno also devoured Sophia Loren’s memoir Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow: My Life. She described the Academy Award winner’s book as “rich” and “complex,” just like the pasta alla norcina Munno compared it to.
“She never compromised her own personal values,” Munno says. “I love Sophia and I love this book.”
Munno additionally loved Mindy Kaling’s bestselling essay collection Why Not Me?, which Munno called “bold, zesty and bright,” like a creamy lemon pasta dish.
“When I get asked, ‘How do you get to be so confident?’, it’s exactly what Mindy talks about in this audiobook,” the cookbook author and content creator says. “Confidence, as she says, is much like respect. You have to earn it, and I love that Mindy narrates it herself.”

Finally, Munno ordered up My American Dream: A Life of Love, Family, and Food by Lidia Matticchio Bastianich, a memoir by the celebrated Italian chef.
“You can truly tell that she loves what she does,” Munno says. “Coming from a very difficult place and getting away from a very difficult time in Italy, starting with kids that are little, opening restaurants, building such a strong and powerful career through it all. I love Lidia and I love this book. It’s full of heart, soul, just like a gorgeous lasagna.”
