Some students love pizza. Others say the pasta is better.
Some students enjoy the submarine sandwiches and all the goodies on it. A few like the spicy chicken sandwich.
There’s something for everyone, it seems, in the cafeteria at Huntsville High School.
The Hive took an informal poll of students recently and asked, “What is your favorite food in the cafeteria?”
The answers were as varied as the items students choose from every day.
“I normally go for the subs because I like the way they taste and the fact that I can customize it,” senior Hailey Swann said during lunch one day recently. Nearly every day, Swann’s classmate Jovanny Almanza goes for the spicy chicken sandwich.
“I like the chicken sandwich. It comes with fries and it’s very good,” Almanza said.
Junior Heloisa Lucas, a foreign exchange student from Brazil, is a fan of the pasta line in the cafeteria.
“I like the spaghetti with chicken. That’s my favorite,” Lucas said.
Plenty of students like the traditional lunchroom fare like burgers and pizza. Freshman Jaden Merchant picks pizza most days.
“I like the pizza with pepperoni. My side is an apple,” Merchant said.
The most popular menu item appears to be the sub sandwiches. That’s what The Hive’s informal poll revealed, anyway.
“I like the sandwiches best,” freshman Noah Sanchez said. “I get regular bread, turkey, pepper jack cheese, then lettuce and honey mustard. That’s my go-to meal at lunch.”
