Chad Kirtland with Rouses Markets is sharing a spicy, creamy, Cajun-style pasta dish.
INGREDIENTS:
● 1 box Rouses farfalle pasta
● 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
● 1 yellow onion, diced
● 4 cloves garlic, minced
● 1 pound Rouses Louisiana Wild Caught 21/35 frozen shrimp
● 1 12 oz package crawfish tails
● 1 Tbsp Chef Paul Blackened Redfish Seasoning
● 1 tsp black pepper
● ½ tsp salt
● ½ tsp cayenne pepper
● 1 jar Rouses Alfredo sauce
● 2 cups heavy cream, more as needed
● 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
● ½ cup green onions, chopped, for garnish
STEPS:
1. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions, minus one minute. Rinse with cold water and set aside.
2. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium high heat, melt butter. Add onion and saute 4 minutes, stirring. Add garlic and saute 2 minutes, stirring.
3. Add shrimp, crawfish, and redfish seasoning. Stir to combine. Cook for 5 minutes.
4. Add alfredo sauce and heavy cream. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 10 minutes.
5. Add pasta to the pot and stir to combine, careful not to break the noodles. Add more heavy cream as needed to maintain a creamy consistency.
6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
7. Remove from heat. Serve in large bowls topped with Parmesan cheese and green onions.
