Saint Pasta is finally opening the doors to its first brick-and-mortar on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Chef, owner and pasta lover, Racan Alhoch, took Saint Pasta through a few iterations including a food truck and ghost kitchen and now is realizing his dream of opening a brick-and-mortar in downtown Phoenix. What remained constant throughout was Alhoch’s cult-favorite vodka sauce, something he plans to offer with the brick-and-mortar along with some new menu items.
The focus of the restaurant is pasta, no pizzas and will feature some of the most popular dishes served at his food truck like rigatoni vodka and spaghetti pomodoro, garlic and oil pasta, along with “double the amount of pasta dishes we had in the truck,” he said.
For dessert, pastry chef Marc Chaconne has created a stracciatella cheesecake, which he describes as a “base of salty chocolate sablé crust, decadent chocolate cheesecake baked to a slight wobble for maximum creaminess, a thin layer of lightened ganache that brings together two amazing chocolates from Valrhona — Dulcey and 70% Guanaja, billowing clouds of whipped vanilla bean mascarpone anglaise, shards of tempered 70% Guanaja, and a light dusting of cocoa powder to finish.”
